Manicure scissors and manicure tools.

For a good manicure it is not necessary to go to the beautician – here are some practical tips for you.

First of all, make sure you have all the necessary manicure tools. A good manicure set includes:
  • Manicure scissors or
  • Nail scissors or
  • Nail nippers
  • Nail file
  • Cuticle scissors or
  • Cuticle nippers
  • Cuticle stick.
Secondly, you need:
  • A bowl with some warm water for your hands
  • Almond oil
  • A scrub
  • Moisturizing cream
  • A warm towel.
Once you have made sure you have all the necessary tools, proceed with the preparation of your hands:
  • Soak your hands for a few minutes in hot water to soften the skin
  • Massage your hands with almond oil and let them sit for about a quarter of an hour covered with a warm towel
  • Now, expose your hands to a regenerating treatment: first scrub them and then massage then with the moisturizer.
Now your hands are ready for the manicure:
  • First of all, take care of your cuticles. To do this, use the cuticle stick to push them back and the cuticle scissors or cuticle nippers to trim them
  • If necessary, shorten your nail using manicure scissors, nail scissors or nail nippers
  • File them with a fine-grained nail file. Proceed from the outer corners toward the centre and give them a square shape, but with slightly rounded corners. Rinse your hands to remove the remnants of the filing
  • Your nails are now ready for the application of enamel. First, apply a base layer and wait for it to dry
  • Once it is dry, apply your favourite nail polish: rest your hand on a flat surface and spread all over the nail the colour you prefer. To get a 70s-like manicure, spread the glaze only in the middle of the nail, leaving the two sides without polish
  • Let the polish dry and then lay a second layer
  • Finally, apply a layer of transparent enamel or light pink to fix the coloured enamel and keep it intact for as long as possible.
